Drama and enchantment was in air throughout Chrystal and Chris’ wedding. From the ceremony to the reception, super saturated hues of blue, purple, hot pink, and lime green set against a black backdrop pushed the color palette to the extreme. The ceremony and reception were both held at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.
For the ceremony, the bride Chrystal carried a whimsical nosegay bouquet of Blue Magic Vanda orchids, green Fuji mums, deep purple stock. hot pink Nerine, maroon Callas, Monkeytail and Galax leaves were wrapped in a braid of sheer pink, green, and purple. Chrystal’s bridal bouquet was unforgettable and unique. The bridesmaids and matron carried similar styled bouquets containing many of the flowers that were in the bride’s. A bright green daisy charm dangled from each bouquet. Other members of the bridal party wore boutonnieres and corsages of Vanda orchids, Nerine with accents of Monkeytail. The couple was wed under our Corinthian styled column gazebo which was adorned with hot pink lilies, orchids, Nerine and maroon Callas. After the ceremony, wedding guest enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while the room was magically flipped.
The drama of the ceremony carried over into the reception that followed. Bold black brushed satin table lines with hot pink napkins set the stage. Sprays of exotic purple Vanda orchids perched high atop water filled glass cylinders holding a submerged Vanda. Hot pink tinged dendrobium orchids seated on electric lime green Fuji Mums low on in glass votives and higher inside cracked glass goblets. Glistening raindrop crystals and candle filled votives finished the tables. Cool white LED pin spots lit the centerpieces from above. The area reserved for the ceremony was converted into a lounging area with white sofas and ottomans lit from below with hot pink flood lights. The gazebo became a place for the newly weds to dine under. Lighting including a customized gobo finished the room and set the mood.
